Ornamental Characteristics:

Texture: Bold
Flowers: Yellow flowers bloom on a stalk one summer and attract hummingbirds.
Bark: Brown, Peeling, Attractive.
Foliage: Blue green blades with spines that run along edges.
Objectionable Features: Wear gloves and be cautious when handling. After the plant blooms it will die. Don’t make conditions too nice for it.

Habitat Requirements:

Soil Preferences: Needs well draining soils.
Exposure: Full Sun
Water Requirements: Very low. Water after transplanting, do not water when plant is dormant during the cooler months. Protect the plant from late spring rains by covering.

Low maintenance.
